SSPPS seeks community representative to serve on the Central Square Community Center Advisory Board

Friday, Sept. 13, 2019 - South St. Paul Public Schools is accepting applications for community members interested in serving as a school district representative on the Central Square Community Center (CSCC) Advisory Board. The position is a 3-year term beginning in November of 2019. The board normally meets on the third Thursday in the months of January, March, May, August, and November.

The CSSS Advisory Board is a joint effort between South St. Paul Public Schools and the City of South St. Paul. The CSCC Advisory Board has the authority and obligation to manage and operate Central Square educational and recreational activities. The board establishes, implements, and enforces policies regarding the use of Central Square, including space, equipment and facilities. The board recommends an annual budget and a capital improvement list. The capital improvement list helps guide the ongoing development of the CSCC facility.

Applications can be obtained by visiting the District’s website at sspps.org/cscc or contacting the District Office at (651) 457-9465. Applications must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 7, 2019.

The Central Square Community Center, a joint partnership between the South St. Paul Public Schools and the City of South St. Paul, is committed to meeting the needs of the community by providing an excellent facility combined with great services and programs, all at affordable rates. The South St. Paul school district staff and the city’s Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with the Central Square Community Center Advisory Board, operate the Central Square Community Center.
