School Board approves second makeup day for students on Friday, April 19
Monday, Feb. 25, 2019 — At their meeting on Feb. 25, the South St. Paul School Board voted unanimously to approve another change to the 2018-19 school year calendar. The action shifts what was previously a parent-teacher conference day/professional day on Friday, April 19 to a student day. The change was recommended by district administration after an additional school cancellation last week.
“We understand that this is the second makeup day this year,” said Superintendent Dave Webb. “These are not easy decisions, but we want to continue to provide as much learning time for our students and teachers. We hope that this will be the last time we have to ask you for a calendar modification.”
