At their Monday, October 11 meeting, the South St. Paul School Board accepted Superintendent Dave Webb’s retirement letter, effective June 30, 2022. Webb’s early announcement is key in allowing the School Board enough time to get their plan set and run an effective search process. The search process will likely engage the staff and SSP school community in helping select the next superintendent that will serve our students, staff and community well.
Dr. Webb began his educational career as a Spanish teacher in the Stillwater school district. He left Stillwater after twelve years in the classroom to gain administrative experience and serve as Dean of Students for South St. Paul Public Schools. Following his time in South St. Paul, Dr. Webb was hired as an Assistant Principal of Fridley High School and was later promoted to Principal, where he has served for seven years before being selected as the superintendent of SSPPS in August of 2010.
