Governor Dayton and the Minnesota Department of Education announced today that Lincoln Center Elementary has now also been awarded FREE “Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK)” for 94 children! Four-year-olds at Lincoln Center Elementary can now attend preschool half-day (AM or PM), Monday-Friday for FREE! “Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten” is a program with the purpose of preparing more Minnesota children for success as they enter kindergarten the following year.
Last year, Kaposia Education Center was awarded Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) funding. This year, we already have 100 4-year-old Kaposia students coming to preschool all-day or half-days for FREE!
In SSP Community Preschool, families can choose the two day program for 3-year-olds at both elementary schools. As a result of our school district receiving this additional funding for early learning these classes now have even more access to scholarships/reduce prices! We are thrilled to be able to provide free or reduced price learning time for preschool aged children across South St. Paul.
