Personalized Pathways and Plans

  • Using personalized pathways and plans, all students are held to high expectations, but each student, with the support from their teachers, builds a customized path that responds and adapts based on his or her learning progress, motivations, and goals. For example, a student might use weekly feedback about academic progress and interests to create a unique schedule that includes multiple learning experiences (or “modalities”), such as project-based learning with a small group of peers, independent work on discrete skills and complex tasks, direction instruction and one-on-one tutoring with a teacher.
