Free Summer Meals for Kids
Free summer meals will be available for children and families at community locations and school sites from June 15 through July 24.

Mobile Meals

This summer, free meals will once again be available to children and families through the district’s Summer Meals program in partnership with Open Door. Meals will be served Monday through Friday from June 15 through July 24. No service on June 19 or July 3.

Community meal sites will offer lunch at the following locations and times:

  • Veteran’s Field Playground: 11:00–11:25 am
  • Lorraine Park: 11:35 am–12:00 pm
  • Clark Place Apartments:12:05–12:30 pm
  • McMorrow Field: 12:35–1:00 pm.

On-Site Meals

In addition, breakfast and lunch will be available for kids ages 0-18, Monday-Thursday at Kaposia and SSP Secondary School. This free program is offered through the SSPPS Nutrition Services team and MN Department of Education. No meals will be served June 29-July 2.

Kaposia

  • Breakfast: 8:15–9:30 am.
  • Lunch: 11:15 am–12:45 pm

SSP Secondary School

  • Breakfast: 7:45–8:45 am
  • Lunch: 11:30 am–12:40 pm

The Summer Meals program helps ensure students continue to have access to nutritious meals throughout the summer months while school is out of session.
