TriDistrict CAPS Students Show Off Their Internship Experience

South St. Paul Secondary School, Simley High School, and Two Rivers High School students in TriDistrict Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) courses showed off what they learned this past year at the Spring Showcase. Students in CAPS Business & Entrepreneurship, CAPS Healthcare, and CAPS Transportation & Skilled Trades courses held internships at hospitals, marketing firms, animal clinics, automotive repair shops, and many other local businesses. Teachers, administrators, family members, local professionals, and post-secondary staff attended the showcase to hear from students and learn more about the TriDistrict CAPS program.

In addition to providing students with benefits like college credit and professional skills development, each CAPS course gives juniors and seniors an opportunity to gain professional experience in a hands-on environment. Understanding each career’s daily responsibilities through an internship allows students to make more informed decisions about the education and careers that will fit them best.
