STEAM In-School Field Trip at Lincoln Center

Lincoln Center students in grade K-5 got a hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math experience with an in-school field trip. Over the course of two days, students spent an hour in the portable museum, set up in the gym. Students explored the museum at their own pace, spending as much or as little time at each of the 10 stations as they liked. Activities included all things STEAM from team building an arch with giant blocks, electromagnetic fields, gears and pulleys, and 3D printing. All of the stations have a connection to 21st century skills.

The portable museum, by Mobile Ed Productions, includes activities in the following subjects:

  • Manufacturing methods
  • Energy
  • Technology
  • Simple Machines
  • Gear Ratios
  • Geometry
  • Structures
  • Friction
  • Gravity

The STEAM Museum was made possible by our Lincoln Center readers and the Readathon Fundraiser. A big thank you to the adult volunteers who also helped make this possible!
