Update from SSPPS on Social Media Post
SSPPS Staff and Families,
We are aware of a concerning post circulating on social media, particularly on Facebook, that has been perceived to be a threat against SSP Secondary.
The safety and well-being of our students, staff and community members are our top priority and we take any potential threat very seriously. In partnership with our local authorities, we have determined there is no direct threat against the school.
While we understand the fear and anxiety that such posts can generate, we want to reassure you that every necessary measure is being taken to address the situation and maintain the safety of our students and staff. As they are each day, all doors to SSP Secondary will remain locked. The only way into SSP Secondary is through our secured entrance where our School Resources officers are located.
We ask that our community refrains from spreading unverified information, as it can contribute to panic. Instead, rely on official updates from law enforcement agencies and local authorities.
We understand that situations like these can be unsettling, and we want to assure you that your safety is our priority. If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to local law enforcement or school leaders.
Thank you for your cooperation, vigilance, and commitment to maintaining the safety and well-being of our community. Together, we can ensure a secure and supportive environment for all.
