Summer Learning Calendar Change

SSPPS Families,

Due to recent legislation establishing Juneteenth as a State holiday, all SSPPS buildings will be closed and all programming canceled on Monday, June 19, 2023. As is the case with other holidays defined in Minnesota statute, no public business can be conducted on this day. This means schools cannot hold classes or programs, school board meetings, athletic practices and competitions, and other school-associated events. Specifically this includes cancellation for our Kids’ Choice and all Summer Learning, Community Ed, ABE, and Central Square programming for Monday, June 19, 2023.

Due to this change, the following Summer Learning Programs will now begin on Tuesday, June 20 instead of the originally scheduled June 19 date:

• Preschool Early Learning Summer Blast
• Elementary Summer Learning Academy
• Packer Preview (Session 1); and
• Credit Recovery
