SSPPS Declares e-learning day for Tues, Feb 18, 2025

SSPPS Families,

Due to the extremely cold temperatures forecasted, Tuesday, February 18, 2025 will be an Emergency E-Learning Day for all PreK-12 students. The decision came after careful evaluation of the forecasted weather conditions and consultation with neighboring districts, our transportation company, and our maintenance staff. An Emergency E-Learning Day is a way to provide a variety of learning options for our students while they are at home due to inclement weather emergency closing days.

This means students should not report to school today, Tuesday, February 18, 2025 and instead follow the E-Learning Plans for their school. Please watch for additional information from your student’s school and/or teacher.

In addition, the following are canceled for today:

  • Kids’ Choice
  • Early Learning classes (ECFE, ECSE) and community preschool classes
  • All Voluntary prekindergarten (VPK)
  • Adult Basic Education (ABE)

Decisions regarding high school athletics and activities will be made on a case-by-case basis and communicated by coaches or advisors. All elementary and middle activities are canceled. Central Square programming will continue as planned.

We appreciate your patience and understanding. Stay safe and warm everyone.
