Safety Assurance and Responsible Social Media Use

Dear SSPPS Secondary Families,

We want to address recent social media messages regarding a potential threat at our middle school. After investigating with our partners, the South St. Paul Police Department, there was no credible threat found.

At SSPPS, safety and security is our top priority and continue to strengthen our security measures to maintain a safe learning environment. We ask that any concerns be reported immediately through our 24/7 monitored HELPme app, to the school, or the SSP Police. This ensures a prompt response and prevents the spread of inaccurate information and prevents unnecessary alarm online. Please know, if there is EVER a credible threat, we will inform you immediately.
