Emergency School Closing Jan 21, 2025
SSPPS Families,
South St. Paul Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, due to the extreme cold weather. The decision came after carefully evaluating the weather conditions and forecast and consulting with neighboring districts, and our transportation company.
Tuesday, January 21, 2025 will be Emergency Closing Day 1 for the 2024-2025 school year. This means students will not report to school, and no e-learning plans will be implemented. If additional emergency closings are needed due to weather during the 2024-25 school year, SSPPS will provide more information and direction about e-learning plans.
The following programs and activities are canceled for Tuesday, January 21, 2025:
- Kids’ Choice
- Early Learning classes (ECFE, ECSE) and community preschool classes
- Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK)
- Adult Basic Education (ABE)
- Central Square Community Center programming
- Community education classes
Athletics and Activities:
After-school athletics and activities will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, with notifications provided by the activities department or specific coaches and advisors.
