Emergency School Closing for March 16, 2026

Emergency School Closing for March 16, 2026

SSPPS Families,

After careful evaluation of the weather conditions and forecast and consultation with neighboring districts, our transportation company, and our maintenance staff, March 16, 2026 will be an Emergency E-Learning Day for all PreK-12 students. An Emergency E-Learning Day is a way to provide a variety of learning options for our students while they are at home due to inclement weather emergency closing days.

This means students should not report to school tomorrow, March 16, 2026 and instead follow the E-Learning Plans for their school. Please watch for additional information from your student’s school and/or teacher.

In addition, the following are canceled for today:

  • Kids’ Choice
  • Early Childhood and Family Education classes and Early Childhood Special Education (ECFE, ECSE)
  • Community Education enrichment classes and Central Square programming

Adult Basic Education (ABE):

ABE learning plans will be communicated by program coordinator, Tom Umhoefer, please keep an eye on your email for details

Athletics and Activities:

After-school athletics and activities will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, with notifications provided by the activities department or specific coaches and advisors.

We appreciate your understanding as we prioritize the safety of our students, staff, and community. Please stay safe and take care.
