SSP Senior Earns Prestigious Minnesota Scholar-Athlete Honor
South St. Paul senior Jackson Schultz has been recognized among the state’s best, earning one of eight prestigious Scholar-Athlete awards presented by the Minnesota Chapter of the National Football Foundation. The honor highlights Jackson’s excellence not only on the football field, but also in the classroom and throughout his community.
At Huntington Bank Stadium on April 19, Jackson joined seven other top high school football players from across Minnesota as they were honored in a special ceremony surrounded by Hall of Fame players from both the NFL and the College Football Hall of Fame. Each recipient was interviewed on their high school accomplishments, impact on their team, and future plans beyond graduation, showcasing the well-rounded achievements that define this award. In addition to the honor, each Scholar-Athlete award winner, will receive a scholarship to support their college education in the fall.
“Every year, we are amazed by the well-rounded accomplishments of our local football student-athletes,” says Todd Fultz, President of the Minnesota Chapter.
Schultz’s recognition reflects his dedication, leadership, and the pride he brings to SSP and SSP football. His achievement places him among an elite group of student-athletes across Minnesota and marks a proud moment for South St. Paul Public Schools.
