Second Graders Special Visit from Farm Animals

Second grade students at Kaposia wrapped up a week of learning about goats and chickens with a special hands-on visit from some real farm animals. Throughout the week, students explored facts about how the animals live, what they eat, and how they are cared for. Lessons designed to engage and educate young learners.

To celebrate the end of the unit, Ed Services Executive Director Amy Winter brought a mama goat, her baby goats, and a chicken to the school for students to meet up close. Students were excited to observe the animals, ask questions, and connect their classroom learning to a real-life experience.

The visit was a fun and memorable way to bring learning to life while empowering students to build curiosity, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
