School Ready Vaccination Requirements
To attend school at South St. Paul and other public schools in Minnesota, students must show that they've had certain immunizations, or provide Medical Exemption or Notarized Conscientious Exemption. All students immunization records must be up-to-date in accordance with SSPPS Policy 530- Immunization Requirements. Students who are non-compliant by October 29, will be required to have updated vaccination records, which includes exemptions, before they can attend school.
Before school begins in the fall:
- All Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Students must have their vaccination record on file with the school district
- Students going into 7th grade need to have updated records
- Students going into 12th grade need to have updates records

Registration is recommended to ensure your student receives the free vaccines.
Low-cost vaccines are available for children and adults who do not have health insurance or have health insurance that does not cover vaccines. Vaccines are free for children who are American Indian or Alaskan Native or on a Minnesota Health Care Program (Medical Assistance, MnCare, or PMAP). Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and the adult must give consent and bring their insurance card (if applicable).
Adults with co-pays or deductibles, are not eligible for this program. Eligible adults must be Dakota County residents. Cost of each vaccine is $21. Cash or checks accepted. No one will be turned away if you are unable to pay. Other vaccine eligibility restrictions may apply. Interpreters will be available.
