School Board Vacancy

The South St. Paul School Board is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the School Board. This position is one of seven elected seats responsible for setting policy and overseeing the operations of Special School District No. 6.

The Board currently holds a work session on the second Monday of each month, and a work session and regular business meeting on the fourth Monday of each month, along with additional planning and committee meetings throughout the month.

To be eligible for appointment, applicants must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Be a U.S. citizen and eligible to vote
  • Be a resident of South St. Paul for at least 30 days
  • Not have a criminal sexual conduct conviction requiring registration

Completed applications must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Interviews will be conducted during the evening on Monday, June 15 and/or Wednesday, June 17, 2026.
