National Energy Foundation in Physics Class

The Think! Energy (T!E) Program from the National Energy Foundation visited all three physics classes at the high school in April. Students learned about renewable energy and energy saving solutions. They received a kit of energy efficient products to take home, which combined with the energy saving solutions they learned, will help them and their families maximize savings. The students bring the kits home and work with their families at home to install energy efficiency measures and complete a home energy audit form.
The energy saving kits include:
- Solar power cell phone charger
- Advanced smart power strip
- LED replacement light bulbs
- LED motion activated night light
- Faucet aerator
- Water-saving showerhead
- Water temperature thermometer

The program provides in class presentations and energy saving product kits. Thank you to Xcel Energy for sponsoring the program that visited SSP High School.
