Free Summer Meals for Kids

This summer, free meals will once again be available to children and families through the district’s Summer Meals program in partnership with Open Door. Meals will be served Monday through Friday from June 15 through July 24, with no service on June 19 or July 3.

Community meal sites will offer lunch at the following locations and times:

  • Veteran’s Field Playground: 11:00–11:25 am
  • Lorraine Park: 11:35 am–12:00 pm
  • Clark Place Apartments:12:05–12:30 pm
  • McMorrow Field: 12:35–1:00 pm.

In addition, breakfast and lunch will be available to the public Monday through Thursday at Kaposia and SSP Secondary School.

Kaposia

  • Breakfast: 8:15–9:20 am.
  • Lunch: 11:15 am–12:35 pm

SSP Secondary School

  • Breakfast: 7:45–8:30 am
  • Lunch: 11:40 am–12:30 pm

The Summer Meals program helps ensure students continue to have access to nutritious meals throughout the summer months while school is out of session.
