ECFE Classes at New Location

Beginning this fall, all Early Childhood and Family Education (ECFE) classes will be moving to Kaposia Education Center (KEC, 1225 1st Ave S). 

Why This Move Matters

This transition marks an exciting step forward for our youngest learners and their families, offering enhanced spaces, a stronger connection to the school community, and increased convenience.

• Child-Centered, Modern Facilities- Kaposia Education Center offers bright, welcoming learning spaces designed specifically for early learners. From a playground built just for young children to a nature-filled outdoor classroom, this new location encourages creativity, exploration, and joyful learning.
• A Natural Bridge from Birth to Kindergarten- Having ECFE housed in an elementary school helps families visualize and experience the full learning journey—from baby steps to kindergarten. Children gain confidence in a familiar setting, and families benefit from smoother transitions throughout the early years.
• Building Connection from the Start- Starting at Kaposia helps children and caregivers feel part of the South St. Paul school community from day one. It’s a great way to foster a sense of belonging and build lifelong relationships with educators and peers.
• Added Convenience for Families- For families with children in multiple age groups, having early learning and elementary programming under one roof simplifies daily routines like drop-off and pick-up.
• A Place for Parents, Too- ECFE isn’t just for children—it’s a welcoming space for parents and caregivers to connect, share experiences, and build supportive relationships that last beyond the classroom.

A Note on Early Childhood Screening

To make things easier, Early Childhood Screenings will now be held at Central Square (100 7th Avenue North, South St. Paul) starting August 21. Families can complete both screening and enrollment in one convenient location.
