Balancing Tech and Mental Health in Kids
South St. Paul families are invited to a special parent presentation on Thursday, October 9, at 6:00 pm at SSP Secondary. Licensed professional clinical counselor Gregg Milbrath, from the Associated Clinic of Psychology, will share insights on the connection between technology use and children’s mental health.
Milbrath has worked closely with students and families across Dakota County for many years. Through his experience, he has seen firsthand how screen time and digital habits can affect a child’s well-being. His presentation will highlight both the challenges and the opportunities that come with technology use, offering parents practical strategies to help their children build a healthier relationship with tech.
The Associated Clinic of Psychology encourages families to seek support if they notice significant changes in their child’s behavior, such as shifts in mood, sleep problems, appetite changes, or anxiety that affects daily life.
ACP provides mental health services for students and families. Parents are encouraged to consult with their child’s school counselor or reach out directly at www.acp-mn.com or 612-455-8643.
