Two SSP Seniors Named Finalists for National Scholarship
Congratulations to two South St. Paul High School Seniors Who were name finalists for a Questbridge National Scholarship!
Questbridge National College Match is a very competitive four-year, full-ride scholarship for high achieving students (top 10% of their class and who have taken rigorous coursework). With the assistance of High School Dean of Students, Alison Terrell, three South St. Paul High School seniors applied for the scholarship and two of those three, Teresa H. (left) and Vivian K. (right) were named finalists. Nationally, 25,500 students applied, 7,288 were named finalists, and only 12% of those finalists came from the Midwest, including the from SSP!
The students who are matched with a college will find out December 2nd if they will earn a four-year, full-ride scholarship.
Match Scholarship Recipients are admitted early to QuestBridge partner colleges with full four-year scholarships provided by the colleges and universities. QuestBridge’s partners include top colleges and universities such as Boston College, Brown, Claremont McKenna, Columbia, MIT, Northwestern, Swarthmore, Vanderbilt, and Williams. The Match Scholarship is made up of a financial aid package provided by the college that covers the full cost of attendance for four years, including tuition, housing and food, books and supplies, and travel expenses. The Match Scholarship does not include loans or a parental contribution.
