StudentSquare is Coming to SSPPS

South St. Paul Public Schools is excited to add StudentSquare as an add-on to our ParentSquare communications system. StudentSquare connects our staff, coaches, and advisors with students in real time without needing to exchange personal information.

StudentSquare highlights include:

  • Hidden personal information for both staff and students for a safe and secure communication and workflow center
  • Recorded/Archived posts, messages, and alerts for future reference
  • Two-way communication allows messaging in real time
  • Students can download the app for easier access- They can receive communications however they prefer with push notifications, text messages, emails, alerts, the StudentSquare app, or through the web portal

Some of the ways SSPPS uses StudentSquare:

  • Teachers may send reminders to students about classroom items- tests, homework, or resources
  • Coaches can use it to communicate with their team
  • Students can stay connected with information from the school
  • Students can receive non-school day reminders and emergency closing notifications

StudentSquare will be enabled for the 2024-25 school year for students in grades 6-12 at the Middle School, High School, CLC, and Virtual High School. Coaches and advisors will work with students in their groups to activate their accounts in the coming weeks. The rest of the student body will be introduced to the platform when school begins.
