GETTING READY FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL
There are important things to know and dates to remember to prepare for 6th grade during the spring of 5th grade and over the summer. Mark these dates in your calendar and look for further details from the school district as they get closer.
Information on transportation and August back-to-school events will be sent in the SSPPS District newsletter at the end of July.

Families can visit SSP Secondary to learn more about Middle School in South St. Paul and tour the building. Wednesday, April 30, an interpreter will be present for Spanish speaking families.
Packer Preview
June 23-26 OR July 7-10
8:00 am -12:00 pm
This program helps incoming 6th graders ease some anxiety of the move to a new school. They'll meet new friends, learn how to open lockers, learn the school layout, practice switching classrooms, and have some fun! Transportation is provided for students who fall within the busing boundaries during the school year.

Families will schedule a time to meet with their student's Connections teacher. Connections is their homeroom and this is the teacher you will work with throughout the year to discuss your student's needs and progress.
