Preschool Overview

  • Preschool Kids South St. Paul offers excellent preschool programs for children ages 2 1/2 years to kindergarten enrollment.

Our teachers strive to promote children’s love of learning and curiosity through an intentionally planned “hands on” learning environment, designed to foster the development of the whole child. Young children learn best through active involvement, in order to learn about themselves, other people and the world around them.

Our preschool classrooms encourage active exploration, investigation and play in a variety of learning centers, plus individual, small and large group activities. Children are guided to question, solve problems and express themselves. Teachers respect and understand the uniqueness of each child.

     Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten

Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten is a program with the purpose of preparing more Minnesota children for success as they enter kindergarten the following year.

Governor Dayton and the Minnesota Department of Education announced in 2016 that Kaposia Education Center has been awarded FREE Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten for 102 children! Four-Year-Olds at Kaposia can now attend preschool all-day or half-day (AM or PM), Monday-Friday for FREE!

Thanks to a grant from the State of Minnesota, Lincoln Center 4-year-old Preschool is also FREE for families for 2021-22. Other preschool classes will see reduced tuition prices and increase scholarships as a result of our school district receiving this additional funding for early learning. We are also able to offer more options and more learning time for ALL preschool aged children across South St. Paul.
