Technology

Our Technology Department mission is to support, promote and lead the innovative, effective and impactful use of technology in leadership, operations, instruction and learning.

Student Devices

Our district has been very fortunate that our community has supported our Technology Levies for many years.  It has allowed us to give students access to their online materials for learning with devices.

We are able to provide devices available for students in EVERY grade level.

  • Kindergartners-1st graders use Chrome Tablets in the classroom at a 1:1 ratio (1 tablet for every 1 student).
  • 2nd graders use a touch-screen Chromebook in the classroom at a 1:1 ratio.
  • 3rd-5th graders use Chromebooks in the classroom at a 1:1 ratio.
  • Every student in grades 6-12 is assigned a dedicated Chromebook to use in school and at home.

Infinite Campus

The Technology Department manages student enrollment, MARSS reporting, and student information for South St. Paul Public Schools. The district uses Infinite Campus to maintain student data and records.

Once a student is enrolled in SSPPS, families are automatically provided with an Infinite Campus Parent Portal account. Information stored in the Parent Portal is also used for the district’s communication platform, ParentSquare. To ensure families receive important school updates and notifications, it is important to review and update contact information in the Campus Parent Portal regularly.

Data Tools to Support Student Learning

South St. Paul Public Schools use a variety of digital tools to support student learning. Technology vendors and software are utilized to support work as we help all students develop the skills necessary to succeed in an ever-changing world. We have an inventory of our curriculum, testing, and assessment tools posted below and have included shared student data, terms of use, and privacy statements for each tool. Please email DigitalLearning@sspps.org for additional questions regarding specific digital tools used in classrooms.
