South St. Paul Public Schools Superintendent
Dr. Brian Zambreno, Superintendent of Schools
Dr. Brian Zambreno has served as Superintendent of South St. Paul Public Schools since March 2022, bringing nearly 25 years of experience in public education. He began his career as a teacher, working with students with disabilities and those new to the United States, before being encouraged to pursue leadership roles. Over the years, he has coordinated English Learner programming for the state’s largest program, served as an assistant principal at both the elementary and middle school levels, led as a middle school principal, and supported more than 30 schools as an associate superintendent. Having worked in districts of all sizes, Dr. Zambreno values the strong relationships that can be built in a smaller community and says South St. Paul is an ideal fit for his experience and educational values.
