StudentSquare

South St. Paul Public Schools is excited to add StudentSquare, for grades 6-12, as an add-on to our ParentSquare communications system. StudentSquare connects our staff with students in real time without the need to exchange personal information.

StudentSquare highlights include:

Hidden personal information for both staff and students for a safe and secure communication and workflow center
Recorded/Archived posts, messages, and alerts for future reference
Two-way communication allows messaging in real time
Students can download the app for easier access- They can receive communications however they prefer with push notifications, text messages, emails, alerts, the StudentSquare app, or through the web portal

SSPPS uses for StudentSquare:

Teachers may send reminders to students about classroom items- tests, homework, or resources
Coaches can use it to communicate with their team
Students can stay connected with information from the school
Students can receive non-school day reminders and emergency closing notifications

Download the FREE StudentSquare app for iOS or Android. This is the easiest way for Students to receive all Posts, Events, Sign Up Requests, Photos and Files. Students can enable text notifications when a message is posted.

ACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT

LOGIN TO STUDENTSQUARE

Login from web browser

Go to the web address https://www.mystudentsquare.com/signin
Enter your email or cell number you used to activate your account and the secure password you created.
Click Sign In.

Or if your school uses Google or Microsoft Single Sign-On and you are logged in to your school account, click on Sign In with Google or Sign In with Microsoft.

Login from Mobile App

Open the StudentSquare app.
Enter your email or cell number you used to activate your account.
Tap Continue.
Enter the password you created for your account.
Tap Sign In.

Or if your school uses Google or Microsoft Single Sign-On and you are logged in to your school account, click on Sign In with Google or Sign In with Microsoft.

NOTIFICATION SETTINGS

From Web Browser

Click your name on the top menu bar and select My Account

If you are receiving too many notifications from StudentSquare, you can change your preference in your account settings. If you are associated with multiple campuses, you can customize based on your notification type and delivery method for each campus.

The Instant setting will send all post notifications in real-time.
The Digest setting sends direct messages, alerts, and time-sensitive posts instantly, but sends all non-time sensitive posts at the end of the day, reducing the number of notifications you receive daily.

In Mobile App

In the app, select the three horizontal bars at the top of your screen to access the Menu.
Select Account on the left to access options to manage your account.
Select Notifications.
Use the slider to turn on/off by modality (email, text or app). If turned on, select whether you prefer the instant or digest notification.
