Sexuality and Gender Awareness (SAGA)

Welcome to the South St. Paul Sexuality and Gender Alliance. The SAGA mission is to have a safe space for students to express their sexual and gender identities as they are, learn about the LGBTQ+ community, and increase awareness surrounding historical and contemporary struggles. Students in grades 9-12 can join SAGA, which meets twice a month on Tuesdays. Our meetings serve as a space for LGBTQ+ students to connect across grades. Some of our meetings are more educational, with a focus on topics suggested by the students. Others focus on having fun, getting to know each other, and building a community within the school.

Contact Elizabeth Zender (they/them) at ezender@sspps.org for more information.
