In the case of an emergency school closing. Preschool students have a variety of elearning options to choose from to work on at home. Click on your class link below to view learning options.

The information below is for students in grades 6-12.

1. Teachers will have assignments ready and released at 9:00 AM.
2. E-Learning day assignments will be linked in the agenda/in a folder/on calendar.
   1. Assignment needs to be completed by the end of day (3:00 PM)
   2. Attendance will be determined based on the assignments completed by 3:00 PM
3. Teachers will hold office hours 10:00- 12:00 PM and monitoring/responding to emails and Schoology messages until 3:00 PM

Three or more consecutive days

Beginning on the third consecutive day of emergency school closing students will attend school virtually via Google Meet using the details below.

• Google Meets Code: Can be found in the Schoology folders for each class
• Day 1/Day 2: Classes will continue to be every other day
• Attendance:  will be taken by teachers in the Google Meet

E-Learning Days allow students to continue learning from home through online instruction using Google Meet, Schoology, and Odysseyware. Teachers provide assignments, virtual instruction, guidance, and support throughout the day.

These learning days help students build the digital skills needed for college, careers, and lifelong learning in an increasingly online world.

E-Learning Days may be scheduled in advance or used during unexpected school closures due to severe weather, power outages, or other emergencies. In the event of an unplanned closure, families will be notified through ParentSquare, local media announcements, and the district website: South St. Paul Public Schools. Students should remain home and complete assigned E-Learning activities.

E-Learning Day Instructions

• Teachers will have posted work in their Schoology courses
  • Students should be checking their Schoology page(s) and completing the work for the assigned date.
  • There will be a “check in” assignment for EACH course, including Connections.
• To prepare for the day and make a plan
  • Students should attend Connections from 7:40-7:55am. This will be an open Google Meet with ALL CLC Teachers.
  • For the remainder of the day, teachers will hold an open Google meet from 8:00am -12:00pm. There will be a lunch break from 12:00pm - 12:30pm. The open Google meet will resume again from 12:30pm - 2:30pm.
• The Google Meet Link will be in the student’s Connections Schoology.

*** Students with special needs may face unique challenges while performing academic tasks independently. Provisions have been made for their needs. Please contact your child’s case manager and/or teacher(s) for more specific information.

Staff will send texts/phone calls and/or emails to students. Teachers will host Google Meet check in/synchronous lesson. Link will be sent via email to students.
