Scenario 2: Hybrid
Hybrid: In-Person & Distance Learning
In the Hybrid scenario, students will learn at school part-time to limit the number of students in the classroom (50% capacity) and to allow for social distancing. When not at school, students will be expected to complete digital learning activities at home with support from a licensed teacher.
This scenario may be implemented if COVID-19 metrics worsen at the local, regional, or statewide level. This scenario may also be implemented within a school if they experience clusters of cases within a classroom or the school.
SSP is committed to the health and wellbeing of our students and staff as our highest priority. We will continue to follow the most up-to-date guidance from the CDC, MDH and local health officials. Guidance for safety protocols are expected to be continuously evolving and the protocols will be modified as needed based on current guidelines, research and best practices.
Parent Options: Choosing Distance Learning
We recognize that some students may be unable to attend school in-person due to either pre-existing medical conditions or out of personal family choice. We understand these decisions are difficult ones and families must make educational decisions that are best for their families.
If families prefer to keep children home for medical reasons, or if they are simply uncomfortable with sending them to school, SSP is offering full-time distance learning for families at all educational levels including preschool, elementary, middle and high school levels.
