Once the postcard arrives, be sure to place it in your child’s backpack, the pass will be required to board the school bus.
My Child Does Not Need A Bus PassIf your student is eligible for District-provided transportation and will not be riding the bus, it is important that you let us know to change their transportation record for the 2019-20 school year. This ensures the district and transportation company has accurate student ridership records.
Request for Daycare or Alternate AddressIf your student will be transported from a daycare or alternate address within your attendance boundary school, please complete the Request for Transportation to Daycare or Alternative Address form and turn it in to the District Transportation Office at 104 5th Avenue South by August 1, 2019. Your daycare must be within your attendance boundary school area.
Pay-To-RideSSPPS contracts with Safe-Way Bus Company to provide pay-to-ride transportation on a first come, first served basis for students/families who are not eligible for district-provided transportation.
Pay-To-Ride Agreement Applications are due to the District Transportation Office on or before August 1. This ensures all students signed up are on the appropriate routes prior to mailing all bus passes. Bus passes will be mailed late August. The Pay-To-Ride Bus option follows the school district attendance boundaries and will not cross into neighboring cities to pick up students. The District does not provide the Pay-To-Ride transportation option to elementary families who attend the elementary school out of their attendance boundary.
