Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports


    South St. Paul Public Schools are presently pursuing the implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS).  PBIS is a research-based framework that is designed to enhance academic and social behavior outcomes for all students by:

    1. Emphasizing the use of data for informing decisions about the selection, implementation, and progress monitoring of evidence-based behavioral practices 
    2. Organizing resources and systems to improve durable implementation fidelity 

    PBIS teams at each school have engaged in an implementation process through PBIS Minnesota and have assisted their respective schools in their installation of systems, data, and practices across three tiers of support.
