Parent Conversations (Feb 2019)

  • South St. Paul parents and families are invited to the following Community Conversation Series:

    The purpose of these sessions is to help the district move forward with improvements that will positively impact students and families. The session will be facilitated in a structured conversation format designed to ensure the involvement of all voices in the room. Participants will be asked to share ideas for improving the climate in SSP Schools. District representatives, including administration, school counselors, school resource officers, etc., will be present to listen and help answer questions.


    NOTE: In order to hear from as many parents as possible, we encourage individuals to select one of the conversation dates.

    SPECIAL NOTE: In order to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to actively participate, that the conversation is productive and focused on solutions, and to adhere to state and federal laws governing data privacy, attendees will be discouraged from sharing individual stories and concerns about specific events or interactions.

    Participants wishing to share personal stories or concerns about specific experiences and/or SSP staff are encouraged to schedule private meetings with building principals or district leaders (e.g. Superintendent, Directors of Special Education or Learning).
