This is a pivotal moment for our district that will require strong leadership and knowledgeable oversight of our schools. Despite our current budgetary situation and the fact that we are in the midst of an unprecedented pandemic it is so important that we provide the very best educational opportunities for the kids in our community. Having children in the schools and the opportunity to work with students in the district, I would be bringing that connection to our students to the board and use that experience to guide my decisions for our district.

    Phone: 651-747-7877

Background: I’ve been a part of the South Saint Paul community since I student taught at Lincoln Center in 2002. I fell in love with our wonderful community and my wife and I moved here as a young family starting out our life together. We have gotten very involved in our community and are raising two children who attend South Saint Paul Schools.

I am a professional educator. I first taught in a career and technical education center for fourteen years that served ten different high schools. For the last three years I’ve taught at an arts high school in Eden Prairie. I have always taken a great deal of pride in my teaching and deliver rigorous high caliber instruction in a safe and supportive classroom. My students have earned many state and national recognitions and awards. As a teacher, I have received several humbling recognitions. I was nominated as a candidate for MN Teacher of the Year and was also awarded Advisor of the Year for SkillsUSA. During my time in education, I have had the opportunity to serve as a union negotiator for six years and just finished my term as a school board member of PiM Arts High School.
